We are happy collaborate and work with people and organisations in the local area to help create healthier and happier communities across West Dunbartonshire.

Stepping Stones has been a user led organisation since it first began in 1991. Our Board, along with our Lived Experience Panel, made up of our members have helped guide our organisation, with their input on new developments and ideas for the future. We are part of the local Equality Form, the West Dunbartonshire Suicide Prevention Group, and regularly work alongside other organisations in the area.

We also work in partnership with students from the Centre of Therapy, Persona Counselling, University of Strathclyde, and Glasgow Caledonian University, offering experience to trainee counsellors during their placements, many of which, continue to offer their services voluntarily.

Stepping Stones are organisational members of the BACP which demonstrates our committment to providing safe, ethical and professional counselling and psychotherapy services and training. We are also members of Poverty Alliance Scotland, working together to end poverty for a better future.

We also work alongside the West Dunbartonshire Council, NHS, National Lottery, and our local CVS. Many thanks to them for their ongoing support in providing funding for our services to continue to offer what has become a busy and valued support to West Dunbartonshire.

And Stepping stones are proud to be involved in partnerships and working groups including:

  • West Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership
  • West Dunbartonshire Criminal Justice Partnership
  • West Dunbartonshire Violence Against Women and Girls Partnerships
  • West Dunbartonshire Suicide Prevention Group
  • West Dunbartonshire Equality Forum
  • Scottish Community Development Network (Dunbartonshire)
  • NHSGGC Support & Information Services Partner (Vale of Leven District Hospital)
